It&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp;near Twenty Mile Rd. and Plaza Dr. (about a mile from my home) and&amp;nbsp;can&amp;nbsp;also be accessed by the Cherry Creek Trail.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;The&amp;nbsp;majority of the new&amp;nbsp;5-acre facility is taken up by&amp;nbsp;the skate park which is over 35,000 square feet and has all sorts of bowls, rails, ramps and obstacles, something for everyone.&amp;nbsp; The town of Parker also built 6 new tennis courts adjacent to the skate park plus a nice little playground.&amp;nbsp; New outdoor lighting keeps it all lit up&amp;nbsp;until 10pm every night.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&amp;nbsp;took my 6-year old boy there to check it out and he had a blast.&amp;nbsp; He rides a scooter but after watching some of the bigger kids at the park he wants a skateboard for Christmas.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;The majority of the kids were riding skateboards but there were plenty of smaller kids riding scooters,&amp;nbsp;some BMX riders, and&amp;nbsp;just a few rollerbladers.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&amp;nbsp;gotta admit I was a bit hesitant to take my son there because I wasn&amp;#39;t sure how tolerant the bigger kids are with&amp;nbsp;the little guys, but I was&amp;nbsp;pleaantly surprised at how they all enjoyed the park&amp;nbsp;together.&amp;nbsp; It seemed to me that the bigger kids were quite&amp;nbsp;tolerant and kept an eye out for the little folks&amp;nbsp;by steering clear of them and&amp;nbsp;giving them plenty of space.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;I was impressed with how they would&amp;nbsp;take turns and let the little&amp;nbsp;kids pass&amp;nbsp;before the big kids&amp;nbsp;would take&amp;nbsp;off.&amp;nbsp; Heck,&amp;nbsp;even my 6-year old was riding his little scooter through the &amp;#39;big bowl&amp;#39; area without incident.&amp;nbsp; Certainly a nice thing to see.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Unfortunately, teenagers will be teenagers and&amp;nbsp;as I looked around the area it seemed like&amp;nbsp;some of them treat the park like&amp;nbsp;they do their bedrooms.&amp;nbsp; With CHFA&amp;#39;s help they will issue nearly $1.7 million in private activity bonds to finance affortable home mortgages for Parker&amp;#39;s low and moderate-income homebuyers.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The partnership between Parker and CHFA will increase the amount of financial resources currently available to Parker residents.&amp;nbsp; Last year CHFA utilized its own resources to close more than $6.5 million in affordable home mortgages helping 37 families to become homeowners in Parker.&amp;nbsp; The additional $1.7 million will help CHFA broaden outreach in Parker meaning even more residents will be able to access affordable mortgage products.&amp;nbsp; When Denver topped the list of 20-city composites in the S&amp;amp;P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index it gave the local media something positive to say.&amp;nbsp; The Rocky Mountain News reported, &amp;quot;The Denver-area housing market from May to June showed the most appreciation of 20 metropolitan areas tracked by the closely watched S&amp;amp;P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices&amp;quot;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The statistics bring some hope.&amp;nbsp; The Rocky Mountain News quoted David Blitzer, chairman of the Index Committee at Standard &amp;amp; Poor&amp;#39;s, &amp;quot;Depending on where you focus the details of the report, you can see some different stories on where home prices are headed.&amp;nbsp; Record year-over-year declines were reported in both the 10-city and 20-city composites in June; however, they are very close to the values report in May.&amp;nbsp; The rate of home price declines may be slowing&amp;quot;.&amp;nbsp; So is this a seasonal change or a signal that the market is stabilizing?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Denver Post answered the question in an interview with Will Roberts, incoming president of the Denver Board of Realtors, reporting that the Denver real estate market could see growth in the Spring of 2009.&amp;nbsp; Will Roberts predicts, &amp;quot;I think right now our market is going through recovery.&amp;nbsp; By October or November this market will really bottom out.&amp;nbsp; Then in the next six months we&amp;#39;ll be stable and we&amp;#39;ll see some growth in April and May.&amp;nbsp;
